Approval was granted on 27 June 2011 under Section 18 of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 to undertake works for the Great Eastern Highway upgrade, which fall within the Swan River Aboriginal Heritage Site.
Further consultation with the indigenous community will continue throughout the project.

From 7pm Friday 25 May until 5am Monday 28 May, work will be carried out to re-configure the intersections of GEH and Hardey Road / Resolution Drive. This will mean access to/from GEH and these side streets will be unavailable, and alternative routes will need to be used. View the flyer in our gallery for more [...]

With the location of the construction areas frequently changing, we know it can be a bit confusing finding your way across Great Eastern Highway, so we have created a map to show the current pedestrian crossing points on both sides of the road. This is available under the “Visting GEH” tab.
