Property Protection
City East Alliance engaged independent building inspection company, BSP Construction Consultants, to establish the existing condition of any buildings and structures directly adjacent to and within 50m of the project site.
CEA has undertaken precondition surveys of the properties to provide a baseline for the monitoring and assessment of any construction impacts throughout the project.
While negative impacts on properties are not expected to occur as a result of construction, the Alliance committed to undertake inspections to ensure property owners are protected against any unlikely event.
In addition to completing the property inspections, the Alliance will monitor noise and vibration levels throughout construction to guide on-site operations and minimise the impact on residents as much as possible. Management Plans for both impacts have also been developed.
The Noise Management Plan will ultimately determine what noise attenuation measures are required for adjacent residential areas. This is being developed in consultation with the Department for Environment and Conservation (DEC) and will need to be approved by both the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) and the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).
