Project Objectives
The ultimate objective for this and all of the State’s infrastructure projects is to enhance Western Australia’s social, economic and environmental well being.
Specifically to this project, City East Alliance endeavours to:
- Maximise efficiency, capacity and safety of Great Eastern Highway
- Enhance the ‘gateway’ to Perth
- Manage strategic access to businesses and properties along the route
- Improve the level of service of public transport
- Enhance the capability and sustainability of the road construction industry
- Build collaborative relationships with industry and project stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with utility service providers to minimise risks
- Minimise adverse impacts on the environment, travelling public, businesses, residents, cyclists and pedestrians
By achieving these objectives , City East Alliance aim to also deliver outstanding outcomes in the broader areas of asset quality, safety, cost, sustainability and stakeholder satisfaction. As such, these criteria have been developed into a number of Key Result Areas (KRA) that will assist in determining the Alliance’s overall performance in delivering the project.
