Welcome to the project website for the Great Eastern Highway upgrade, between Kooyong Road and Tonkin Highway.
Funded by the State and Federal Governments, this project will see a 4.2 kilometre section of the highway upgraded to six lanes with a central median, on-road cycling facilities and a continuous pedestrian path.
The project is being delivered by City East Alliance, comprising Main Roads Western Australia, Leighton Contractors, GHD and NRW. Construction commenced around the middle of 2011 and is scheduled for completion by December 2013.
